We’re a family-run, dog-friendly campsite near Thornhill in Dumfries & Galloway with space for around 10-12 pitches (8 hard standing) – tents, caravans and camper vans are all very welcome.
Oakbank Farm Campsite sits pretty amid the gentle rolling hills of South-West Scotland, conveniently situated for nearby local attractions – Robert Burns House, Dumfries Museum and Camera Obscura, Caerlaverock Castle, Drumlanrig Castle, Thornhill Golf Course, and fishing on the River Nith (day tickets available) just minutes away, to name but a few.
Everyone is welcome, from families and pets to motorcyclists and hillwalkers, and we’re perfectly situated for mountain bikers planning a trip to one or more of the world-famous 7 Stanes mountain bike trail centres, along with the superb trails at Drumlanrig Castle.
Among others, we’re a growingly popular overnight spot for those attending and taking part in the annual Tough Mudder event, held at nearby Drumlanrig Estate.
Find us just off the A76 near Closeburn – roughly halfway between Dumfries and Thornhill in the beautiful, quiet countryside of South West Scotland.
Our aim at Oakbank Farm is to provide a friendly, small campsite with a relaxed atmosphere for all. We want you to have a trip to remember for all the right reasons, so please ask as many questions as you like!
2 Bedroomed Self Catering cottage complete with relaxing lounge and bar area.
We have room for 10-12 pitches (4 hard standing) all on flat, level ground, with 10 x electric hook-up points available.
Visitors to Oakbank Farm Campsite are spoiled with an abundance of beautiful country walks right on our doorstep, and we're situated just 10 miles from the thriving nearby market town of Dumfries.
